On February 25, 2010  in Pescara, HyRaMP, the European Regions and Municipalities Partnership for Hydrogen and Fuel Cells, in collaboration with AREAN of the Region of Abruzzo, one of HyRaMP’s founding members, organised a meeting for Italian regions interested in collaborating in developing the first hydrogen
infrastructure networks in Europe,  to discuss joint projects and how HyRaMP could support regional activities in Italy. The Regions of Lombardy, Piemonte, Campania and Marche discussed collaboration on the use of hydrogen and natural mixtures as a transition to the use of pure hydrogen in transport, using the network of natural gas refeulling stations in Italy. Fiat recently has revealed the Fiat Panda Aria and Delì models that run on a mixture of 30%V hydrogen; 20 Fiat Panda Aria’s are currently part of the Region of Lombardy’s fleet.
